Welome to Latin Club at Chapman HouseIn the Junior School, Latin Club attracts many keen girls in Year 6 who come at lunch time to use the Primary Latin Project. The book is called Minimus and focuses upon a mouse who lives at Vindolanda in Roman times. Much fun is had reading Latin and acting out mythological stories.Winners of the National Mythological Competition 2007We are delighted to announce that two of our pupils were prize winners in this year's annual Mythological Competition for Primary Schools teaching the Primary Latin Project. The subject this year was Pandora's Box and Ella Hanley and Elspeth Fraser produced a PowerPoint presentation which really caught the eye of the panel of judges and they were awarder two of the three top places in the competition. The girls both received book tokens and a book plate. Sophie Daniels' entry of a collage of Pandora has also won her a runner - up place! Congratulations to the girls and all who took part.
