SafeGuard™ Port Protector
Plug and Play
SafeGuard™ Port Protector module provides a mechanism to manage and control the use of any PnP device through Active Directory Group Policy Objects
Controlled Use
The uncontrolled use of plug and play devices such as USB memory sticks or FireWire hard drives, presents a serious risk to the corporate network. Uncontrolled use of such devices would expose the corporate network to threats from users deliberate, or accidental, introduction of malware; spyware; viruses; trojans or other inappropriate content. Equally it would be possible to export confidential data by copying it to uncontrolled or un protected media.
Using Utimaco's Safeguard™ Port Protector module it is possible to control the use of such devices in the network using Active Directory Group Policies.
