Upgrade Notes
The upgrade procedure for MXtreme 3.1 has been tested with MXtreme versions 2.1 and 3.0.
It is strongly recommended that all users save a copy of the current configuration and backup MXtreme before proceeding with the upgrade. See the Backup and Restore section of the MXtreme User Guide for more detailed information on backing up and restoring the system.
If there are large amounts of information to be backed up, please use the remote FTP server option instead of local disk. It is recommended that you manually record or print out all information in the Basic Config – Network settings screen before the upgrade. When you have restored your system, review your network settings, and then click Update to reboot the system. This ensures that all restored settings have been applied.
For more information on the upgrade procedure, please refer to the How to Upgrade the MXtreme Mail Firewall document.
