Synchronization Options Provide Flexibility

PasswordCourier offers several flexible synchronization options under the umbrella of Selective Synchronization. This enables administrators to group together systems or applications that share similar requirements, and exclude platforms and applications that should not be synchronized. Once the group of systems to be synchronized has been selected, companies can choose to implement either Active or Transparent Synchronization.

Active Synchronization: enables end users to consciously choose Selective Synchronization groups that have been defined by the administrator.
Transparent Synchronization: enables password changes made using native tools to be propagated to all systems in the Selective Synchronization group. It has the intelligence to know which resets have been initiated by PasswordCourier and which from native tools. This enables PasswordCourier to avoid "double loops" of resets.

Policy Engine Applies Your Rules

PasswordCourier's policy engine enables you to apply simple or highly complex rules to all systems, selected groups of systems, or individual systems and applications. It utilizes such rules as minimum/maximum password length, history and dictionary checking, and required use of special characters. By pre-checking the password to ensure that it complies with the policy and then updating the native system's password history with the new password, PasswordCourier enables an unlimited range of password policies to increase security and user adoption.
