Blackberry shares turn a little sour down 7%

Blackberry logoRIM's ongoing patent battle with NTP has reached some sort of an impasse and that's now affecting shares in the company that has made such a success with the Blackberry. The Blackberry is the must have executive toy that gives you instant email in the palm of your hand. While it's not as fucntional as a real PDA and say the IntelliSync Mobile Suite platform it has the reputation of being 'idiot' proof, errr sorry CEO proof and has sold in its thousands over the past few years.
The spat between NTP and RIM lost a major battle in the US courts in 2003 which should have stopped it from selling the Blackberry in the US. RIM eventually agreed to settle out of court and in March agreed to pay NTP £247m. Related Links
