Tuesday, March 08, 2005Using SurfControl RiskFilter a risky business?Northamber uses SurfControl filter their own SPAM Northamber plc one of our favorite suppliers regularly sends us marketing information, emails regarding special offers etc. This morning they obviously saw the error of their ways and set their own SurfControl RiskFilter to trap the out bound mail as SPAM. Not only that but the system then sent me an email to tal me what it did! It only goes to show that SPAM filtering is a task fraught with pitfalls and that intelligent SPAM filtering is not determined by hardware and software alone.
