Councils encouraged to go 'mobile'

Mobile Computing Several initiatives comming out of the Office of The Deputy Priminister ODPM are trying to encourage the use of technology, especially mobile computing, to improve service delivery and cut costs.
Mobile technology is seen by the ODPM as a key enabler for building real applications, and according to a recent survey carried out by O2 is ..a way to improve services and cut red tape.
ecommnet's recent seminar held in London earlier this month showed that interest in mobile computing is strong in all sectors including Law enforcement, Local Government, Finance and other service industries. Key issues for all organisations are; Data Security especially laptop and PDA encryption and remote mobile device management.
With the Intellisync Enterprise Mobile Suite and the range of Utimaco products, SafeGuard PDA and SafeGuard Easy we believe we can address these issues better than anyone else in the market.
