neulevel, a subsidiary of NeuStar has been chosen to at as the co-ordination point for all registrars for the new .cn domain by the China Internet Network Information Center. The opening up of the .cn domain represents a huge new market for anyone wishing to expand the on-line presence. At the same time the risks associated with dealing with the Internet population culturally and geographically so distant would seem to be equally daunting. From a simple security standpoint, the tactic of blocking all .cn domains to try and avoid spam on the basis that a large proportion of it originates from there, or from Open Relays hosted in the .cn domain, will no longer be practicalposted by Robert Campbell 9:33 AM |
